Do you want to gain first-hand experience of working on an election campaign? Do you have the skills and energy to make a difference to a key election campaign? Do you want to help take the Tories on in South West Devon fighting for the Labour Party? If so, then why not apply for the new Campaign Intern positions in South West Devon CLP?
This post would suit a confident self-starter working closely with Luke Pollard and his growing campaign team in South West Devon (Plympton, Plymstock, Ivybridge and the South Hams). The role would include researching local issues, analyzing questionnaire returns and developing campaign materials including working on Luke’s online campaigns. Good writing skills, IT knowledge and lots of energy would be very helpful. Knowledge of the local area is essential. Experience of online campaigning - especially Facebook campaigns- would be an advantage.
The post would include assisting at the weekly campaign dates for local party volunteers on Saturdays in the constituency and the role would be based at Labour’s new campaign office in Plymstock. This three-month placement would be for one day a week. The role is voluntary although travel expenses will be paid. The office is accessible by public transport. You do not have to be a member of the Labour Party to be successful but this is strongly encouraged. The role would not suit someone who opposes the Party locally or nationally.
For a conversation about the role please call Luke Pollard on 07866 566906 or e-mail luke@lukepollard.net. Email CVs with a covering note explaining how you think Labour can win more votes in South West Devon to Brendan Torley – brendan@lukepollard.net .
