I am proud to come from Devon and proud too that this same sense of pride is shared by nearly everyone I come across. South West Devon includes the towns of Plympton and Plymstock (both part of the City of Plymouth) and Ivybridge and the South Hams (part of South Hams District Council). Part of the constituency is also covered by Devon County Council.

At the next election the boundaries of the constituency change slightly with part of the north west of the constituency moving out into Torridge and West Devon constituency.
